Melk and Durnstein, Austria October 19, 2010

Roger is sick today.  He says it feels like he is swallowing razor blades.  Many of the other passengers on the ship are sick also.  Yesterday on our bus trip back to the ship we could hear lots of coughing and sneezing.  Rog stayed in the cabin most of the day.  When we docked at Melk for a 90-minute visit to an abbey, I decided to stay on board too.  It was so cold and windy out.  Early afternoon we docked at Durnstein, a quaint little town near the dock so I joined some friends and went exploring and shopping.  This area is known for its apricots so we had to taste the apricot brandy and snapps.
